Official data releases and unusual market moves from the last 30 days. New data is checked twice a day.
How to read events
- Watch · Notable · Critical
- How unusual the move is for that number. Watch: bigger than its usual day-to-day swing. Notable: about 4 times its usual swing, or an important level crossed. Critical: about 8 times its usual swing, which is rare.
- Usually helps · Usually hurts · Mixed
- What a move like this has tended to do to a kind of company, never a verdict on one stock. Up isn't automatically good: higher oil prices, for example, are a cost for most companies.
- Unconfirmed
- Brent and US oil usually move together. When one jumps and the other doesn't, we show the move but don't count it on portfolios until the other confirms it.
- pp
- percentage points: the difference between two percentages (3.2% → 3.8% = +0.6 pp).
- The explanations
- Short texts written in advance with help from AI, the same for every similar event. They never contain numbers: every number comes straight from the source linked on the event page.
